If any of you who follow me on Twitter remember me mentioning a few weeks or a month or so ago that the scene I was working on was making me feel kind of dirty? This is the sequence I was penciling at the time.
I just realized it’s kind of ironic that of all the bad guys in all the comics Avery is the one that squicks me. And he’s not even technically a bad guy.
Oh Avery, you're a terrible person. But you knew that already.

I suppose Avery thinks removing the money from Gabry's wallet is worthy of a "we", ha ha.
So, this is how Gabry and Rei met? What a story. Imagine having to recount that. "Well, my fuck buddy and I went to this brothel one day…"
"If anyone asks, we met while we were both fighting monsters. Like, 20 of them."
I'm wondering of Gabry's "condition" is genetic or the result of something from his childhood.

I like Avery as well as the other charracters and I like how you dont draw black and white charakters but all shades of gray.

the walls by the curtains, in all the other panels they were red, but they're white in that one.
It's supposed to be that way. Look, that panel has no borders, it's part of the background.

You know, after going back and reading through SP up to this point, I wonder how much of an impact Avery is going to have on Liam and Gabry's eventual relationship. I mean, Kytri states that Avery isn't technically one of the "bad guys", but I dunno. He's definitely an antagonist, and these last few pages have positioned him as a near-perfect foil to Gabry. He's such a pivotal character in the story, much as he is disliked, and I would be kinda disappointed if Avery wasn't at least part of the reason Gabry and Liam get together.
Dunno, just my thoughts. In any case, mulling over all this drama is definitely going to make Gabry and Liam's eventual hook up that much sweeter.
